Your driver maintains a steady pace, ensuring comfort during the long journey.

As you approach Shimla, the roads become winding with scenic views of valleys and forests. Short breaks are taken along the way for refreshments and rest, allowing you to adjust to the change in altitude. The driver ensures safe handling of hill roads, especially during sharp turns and climbs.

Upon arrival, you check into your hotel and relax after the drive. The cool weather and peaceful surroundings provide a refreshing change. The driver confirms the next day’s departure towards deeper Himalayan regions.

Day 2 Shimla to Narkanda to Sangla/Nako Route

After breakfast, you begin your drive beyond Shimla towards Narkanda, a small hill town known for its apple orchards and mountain views. The route offers wide views of valleys and distant peaks, making the drive visually rewarding. The driver maintains a smooth pace on mountain roads.

As the journey continues, the landscape gradually becomes more rugged and less populated. Roads pass through forests and small villages, offering a closer look at life in the hills. You stop for lunch at a suitable location recommended by the driver.

By evening, you reach your halt point for the day, either Sangla or further ahead depending on road conditions and travel pace. After check-in, the evening is free for rest, helping your body adjust to the altitude.

Day 3 Sangla/Nako to Tabo (Entering Spiti Region)

The day begins with a drive towards Nako and further into Spiti Valley. The terrain changes significantly as green landscapes slowly turn into dry mountain formations. The roads become narrower, and the surroundings more isolated, marking the entry into Spiti.

You pass through small villages and river valleys, with multiple scenic points along the route. The driver carefully manages the challenging roads, ensuring safety while maintaining steady progress. Breaks are taken for meals and short rests.

By evening, you reach Tabo, known for its ancient monastery. After check-in, you relax and prepare for further exploration into the valley. The environment here is quiet and remote, offering a completely different travel experience.

Day 4 Tabo to Kaza (Approx. 2–3 Hours Drive with Stops)

After breakfast, you explore Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest in the region. The calm atmosphere and historical importance make it a significant stop. The driver assists with timing and ensures you have enough time to explore.

Later, you drive towards Kaza, the main town of Spiti Valley. The route is relatively shorter but filled with scenic landscapes, rocky mountains, and river views. The drive is comfortable, allowing time for photography stops.

Upon arrival in Kaza, you check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free for light exploration and rest. The driver confirms the next day’s local sightseeing plan.

Day 5 Kaza Local Exploration

The day is dedicated to exploring the surroundings of Kaza, including nearby villages and monasteries. You visit places like Key Monastery, located on a hilltop with panoramic views of the valley. The driver ensures easy access to these locations despite narrow roads.

Further exploration includes visits to villages such as Kibber or Langza, known for their high-altitude settings and unique lifestyle. The landscape remains dry and dramatic, offering a rare visual experience.

The evening is spent back in Kaza, where you can relax and enjoy the quiet environment. The driver prepares for the next day’s journey towards Pin Valley.

Day 6 Kaza to Pin Valley and Return

After breakfast, you head towards Pin Valley National Park, known for its wide open landscapes and minimal human presence. The drive is short but offers completely different scenery compared to the main valley.

You visit small villages within Pin Valley, where traditional life continues in isolation. The driver manages the route carefully, as roads can be uneven and narrow. Stops are taken to enjoy the surroundings and take photographs.

After exploration, you return to Kaza for the night. The rest of the day is free for relaxation, allowing you to recover from continuous travel in high-altitude conditions.

Day 7 Kaza to Manali (Long High-Altitude Drive)

This is one of the most important driving days as you move from Spiti towards Manali via high mountain passes. The route includes challenging roads, river crossings, and dramatic landscapes. The driver’s experience plays a key role in ensuring safety.

The journey passes through remote stretches with limited facilities, so proper planning is essential. Breaks are taken where possible, and the driver ensures steady progress throughout the day.

By evening, you reach Manali, where the landscape shifts back to greener surroundings. After check-in, you rest after one of the most adventurous drives of the trip.

Day 8 Manali Local Sightseeing
